Frequently asked questions

1. What exactly is Women Helping Women, and how does it work?

Women Helping Women is a platform offering guided meditations, breathwork practices, and hypnotic sessions led by professionals from around the world. These experts help you enter a calm, focused state in which new, beneficial habits can take root, ultimately transforming areas like stress, procrastination, or unhealthy behaviors. The science behind this approach is backed by leading research on neuroplasticity, relaxation response, and the efficacy of suggestions delivered in a calm, receptive state.

2. Is there actual science behind these sessions, or are they just self-help hype?

There's solid science behind everything we do. The techniques we use—such as breathwork, guided imagery, and light hypnotic induction—are supported by research into how the brain becomes more open to new ideas when it's relaxed. Many healthcare professionals worldwide incorporate similar methods to manage stress, alter habits, and promote well-being.

3. Are these sessions safe? Could I lose control or do something I don't want to do?

They're completely safe. You remain in full control throughout each session, simply entering a peaceful, focused mindset. The relaxation and guided suggestions are designed to help you let go of old patterns and adopt healthier ones, never to coerce you into anything uncomfortable. If at any point you want to stop, you can easily come back to normal awareness.

4. What do you mean by being more open or receptive to change?

It means that in a deeply relaxed, non-critical state, your mind can more easily absorb new beliefs and ideas that serve you better than old, negative habits. Essentially, it's about working with your subconscious mind instead of battling against it—helping you make lasting behavioral shifts.

5. How long do the sessions last, and how often should I do them?

There is a wide range of guided meditations. If you're just beginning, I recommend doing the short guided 1 week courses which involve only doing a few minutes each day.

6. How do I get access?

Women Helping Women is a circle of women supporting other women — courses are created and shared by &Mind members. If you'd like to add something to help your sisters, email support@andmind.com.

7. Do I need any special equipment or background to benefit from Women Helping Women?

Not at all—just a quiet space and a willingness to follow the steps. Our sessions are suitable for all experience levels; even if you've never tried meditation or breathwork, our professionals guide you through each stage, ensuring you feel comfortable.

8. How do I know if it's working for me?

People often notice small shifts first—less stress, more willingness to tackle tasks, or feeling calmer under pressure. Over time, those small wins add up to significant changes, like overcoming major obstacles, dropping unhealthy routines, or boosting self-confidence. If you track your progress, you'll likely see these positive changes happening within just a few sessions.
